FOUR COUNTY QUILTERS GUILD 35th ANNIVERSARY PICNIC

Picnic Details

• When: Saturday, September 16, 2023, 12:00 – 4:00 pm (we plan to eat at 1:00)

• Where: Kemptown Park, Pavilion #3, 3456 Kemptown Church Road, Monrovia, MD. The park is located behind Kemptown Elementary School and shares a driveway with the school. There are plenty of picnic tables in the pavilion; however, you are welcome to bring a lawn chair. There are some electrical outlets and a water faucet available. 

• Food: The Guild will provide chicken, a sheet cake, chips, and drinks. At the September guild meeting, members can sign up to bring a side dish or a vegetarian dish. We would also like 2-3 non-cake desserts. 

• Who: All Members! Also, the men who helped at the quilt show may join us for free! Please let us know if your husband/significant other will be coming.

• RSVP:  If you are coming to the picnic and did not sign up at the August guild meeting, contact Karen Carpenter (Contact info in Guild Directory).  We need a final attendance count by Saturday, September 9 (BEFORE the September meeting!) in order to place our food order.

Quilt Block Drawing

Coral is the gem for the 35th anniversary, so we are giving out a fat eighth of coral fabric for you to use in a 10 1/2" quilt block that will finish at 10 inches.

 Make the block with white or some coordinating colors. At the picnic, all blocks will be entered into a drawing. The winner will receive all of the blocks to make her own quilt. We will have special archive pens at the picnic so that everyone  can sign her block. Contact Kristina Crowe to obtain a piece of coral fabric         (Contact info in Guild directory).

Show & Tell, Fun & Games

Bring a quilt that was NOT in our quilt show.  We will also have some fun games and prizes to help us celebrate 35 years.
